On December one, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gave American Airlines approval to use Apple ipad 2 availability tablets in the course of all phases of flight in lieu of classic paper flight charts and manuals. The new FAA ruling offers American Airlines pilots the green light to use iPads in the course of the total flight, which include takeoff and landing. American Airlines is the initial major air carrier to get approval for operational use of the iPad as an electronic flight bag.
